All Acadiana residents with an interest in open source technologies are invited to attend the January 2010 meeting of the Acadiana Open Source Group on Thursday January 28 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the LITE Center. This is a change in venue from past meetings, which were conducted in the UL Computer Science Department. UL has our thanks for their continued support. We welcome our new sponsor, the LITE Center, and our thanks go out to their staff as well for offering their facilities to host our future meetings. If you need directions to the LITE Center, check out this map.
This meeting will also break from the routine of past meetings and return to a format focused on a technical presentation. This is not a permanent change, but rather one that is appropriate for the first meeting in the new venue. LITE Center Technical Manager Thomas McPoyle will be speaking on how the LITE Center uses open source software. A tour of the facilities will also take place.
Please remember to help to spread the word about the meeting to family, friends, classmates, and colleagues so we can get a good turnout!
